“Great location, spacious room, excellent base for touring the highlands”

Having a 2 night stay in this hotel, we found this to be a well placed hotel with a nice relaxed feel about it.

We were given an extremely large room with lots of space and a bed the size of a small country. I almost lost my girlfriend in the bed it was that big.  The breakfast was ACE!

What our guest's say about the Kingsmills Hotel

Wish we could have stayed longer
Excellent hotel. Great base to explore Inverness and surrounding area. The hotel was so comfortable, great leisure facilities, fantastic food and friendly and helpful staff. The perfect place to relax and unwind. Can’t wait to return.  Feb 2009 – Trip Advisor

Fit for a King!
The Kingsmills certainly lived up to its name. We had a beautiful, large, ground floor, garden room with cosy twin beds and every comfort next to the wonderful, clean leisure centre. The hotel is set in its own grounds with lovely gardens and plenty of free parking. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and the chef was cheerful and friendly - loved the fullsome breakfast and the haggis was a nice touch too (it was Burns day on the 25th!). It is a 10 minute walk into the town centre or a short taxi ride. This hotel is suitable not only for the business traveller but for families too. There was a birthday party for children going on and they all looked very happy and were having fun. We had a great weekend shopping and then a 40 minute drive down to Aviemore to hit the ski slopes. A great long weekend and would definitely return to this hotel.  29 January, Maraget G, Trip Advisor

Excellent
Had a great weekend. Hotel was very good. Staff very friendly and breakfast was first class. This hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and is located in a very pleasant area.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in at this country, and at the price we booked at through Late Rooms, offered just about the best value for money of any hotel I've stayed in over the past few years. The rooms are large and well furnished, the breakfast superb, and the setting and pool made it perfect for our family.

My husband and I stayed at the Kingsmills hotel for a short honeymoon break after our wedding. We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean throughout. We stayed in one of the suites (The Ben Rinnes Room) and it was superb; very spacious and clean. We also made use of the hotel's leisure facilities which, although quite small, provided everything you need to relax and unwind. I would stay here again in a second and I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Wonderful stately hotel set within beautiful mature grounds and within easy walking distance of the town centre.

The rooms were beautifully spacious with all the mod cons one might expect in a 5 star property and huge comfortable beds with bedding and pillows galore!

All the staff (without exception) were dedicated to ensuring our time spent there was as pleasurable and comfortable as possible and the food, wine, pool and spa all combined to make our stay a luxurious and memorable one.

I will certainly return to this town - to this hotel!

From the moment we arrived in reception to check in we realized that we were going to enjoy our stay in this fantastic hotel.  The reception staff were very friendly and informative regarding all aspects of our stay and bent over backwards to ensure that we had a good time especially as it was our first break away with our 4 month old son.  We booked a deluxe room - it was a large and freshly decorated room with a large kingsize bed within. The hotel also supplied a good quality and spotlessly clean travel cot for our baby, and there was still masses of space in the room. We were on the ground floor and had french patio doors leading out onto a lovely patio area with our own table and chairs which led down onto the lovely and well kept gardens. There is also a small pitch and put course within the grounds of the hotel. The leisure facilities were great, again we were met by very helpful staff when we checked in to use the pool and were directed to the family changing room which was ideal. The pool was again spotlessly clean and a good temperature for having a gentle swim without getting too warm. There was a steam room and sauna as well as a Jacuzzi. Breakfast was a self service buffet style with a fantastic selection of fruits, cereals and hot foods again all cooked to a very good standard and the chef is present to ensure that food is fresh and available.  We ate a bar meal in the main bar and found the food to be very good (I can recommend the steak pie!).  Well done to the owners and staff.  All in all I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and am positive that if returning to Inverness I will be staying at the Kingsmills

Room 26, I cannot wait to come back to your wonderful hotel. I am arthritic and found everything about this room 'easy to use'

The room was large and I particularly liked the access to the garden. We also enjoyed the use of the pool - and found all staff very friendly. We ate both nights in the hotel and we were very pleased with the quality of the food in the restaurant.

Kingsmills Hotel – Customer Feedback

"We had a very enjoyable experience and will I am sure use the Hotel again sometime in the future. As with all things there are always things that can be improved upon and it is good to see that you invite feedback via your satisfaction survey. It’s also good to see that it is not just a tick in the box exercise as most of these are. My wife and I do undertake mystery shopper assignments fairly frequently and tend to be a little more critical especially of the more minor details which can make or break an experience."
